Directeur Délégué Aéronautique & Directeur Délégué Occitanie/Deputy Director for Aeronautics & Deputy Director for Occitanie, Aerospace Valley

 

Diplômé de l’ISAE-SUPAERO, Philippe WALTER a commencé sa carrière chez AIRBUS en 1986. Il y a occupé successivement divers postes à l’Engineering des Systèmes puis dans les différents Programmes Avions. Nommé Senior Expert, il a été responsable de la digitalisation des opérations de l’A380 par les compagnies aériennes. Il rejoint la Direction de Programme R&T d’Airbus Avions en 2013, avant de prendre une double responsabilité en tant que Responsable de la Feuille de Route technologique Maintenance/Repair & Opérations (transverse Groupe Airbus), et Représentant France de la R&T Airbus Commercial. Représentant Airbus au CORAC (Comité pour la Recherche Aéronautique Civile), il est notamment en charge des partenariats institutionnels R&T d’Airbus (IRTs St Exupéry et Jules Verne, CERFACS, …). Il siège par example au COST (Comité Scientifique et Technique) de l’IRT St Exupéry, représente TOMPASSE au CA de la fondation STAE.

Philippe WALTER est détaché par AIRBUS au pôle Aerospace Valley depuis le 1er septembre 2018, en tant que Directeur Délégué Occitanie et dans un premier temps Directeur Délégué Systèmes Embarqués. Il a soutenu et accompagné la candidature de l’UFTMP à la création d’un Institut 3IA, qui a abouti à la labellisation d’ANITI par un jury international. Il a accompagné également Occitanie Data dans son lancement et maturation. Expert CCAM (Connected Cooperative and Automated Mobility) à l’Europe, il a représenté Aerospace Valley au comité stratégique régional VACO (Véhicule Autonome et COnnecté ).

Début 2020 Philippe WALTER a succédé à David Machetto au poste de Directeur Délégué Aéronautique au sein d’Aerospace Valley. Il est l’instigateur de 2 notes blanches produites par Aerospace Valley à l’occasion de la double crise sanitaire et économique, quant à la situation de la filière aéronautique et aux possibles actions de relance et transformation de cette filière. Il représente Aerospace Valley au Comité Opérationnel du CORAC, ainsi qu’au Comité Technique du Pkan ADER.

 


 

Graduated from ISAE-SUPAERO, Philippe Walter has been working for Airbus since 1986. He went successfully through various positions in Engineering then in different Aircraft Program Organizations. Nominated as Senior Expert, he was responsible for digitalization of A380 airline operations. 2013, he joined Airbus Commercial R&T program organization, with a dual responsibility as owner of the Maintenance/ Repair & Operations roadmap at Group level, as well as Representative for Airbus Commercial R&T in France. Representing Airbus at CORAC (French Committee for Civil Aeronautical Research), he also has been responsible for Airbus R&T partnerships (IRTs St Exupéry & Jules Verne, CERFACS, …). He was sitting at IRT St Exupéry COST (Scientific and Technics Committee), representing TOMPASSE at STAE fundation board of directors.

Philippe WALTER has been seconded by Airbus to Aerospace Valley since 1st of September 2018, as Deputy Director for Occitanie as well as Deputy Director for Embedded Systems. He supported the application of UFTMP to the creation of an 3IA institute, which was successfully granted as ANITI (Artificial Natural Intelligence Toulouse Institute) by an international jury. He also supported Occitanie Data though its launch and evolution. CCAM (Connected Cooperative and Automated Mobility) expert at European institutions, he represented Aerospace Valley at the regional strategic committee VACO (Autonomous and Connected Vehicle).

Beginning 2020 Philippe WALTER succeeded to David Machetto as Aersopace Valley Deputy Director for Aeronautics. In the context of the double sanitary and economic crisis, he’s been instrumental in Aerospace Valley producing 2 white papers on both the current status and outlook of aeronautics, as well as on possible recovery and transformation actions. He represents Aerospace Valley at the CORAC Operational Committee, as well as at the Technical Committee for the ADER Plan.

Unfortunately, some past exhibitors and attendees have fallen prey to these companies and their offers. The organizer of Aeromart, abe – advanced business events, does not release attendees contact details to anybody. Please do not reply to these requests as these companies simply do not have the attendees list and try to scam you.
